Quickie Review: Robot Unicorn Attack

Real men love unicorns!

Get a good look because this my very well be the most colorful thing I ever post on my site. You know Adult Swim games are usually weird as all hell. But can also be as addictive as chocolate covered crack. Robot Unicorn Attack is probably their best acquisition in that category. The game is an auto side-scroller where you play as the robot unicorn galloping through a world of impossible geography that looks too gay for My Little Pony. Jumping from platform to platform collecting fairies (I think) and destroying giant stars with your dash attack. Because...they deserve it? Whatever, I really don't want to pretend there's logic behind any of this. It's a simplistic game that's a great time killer. Be careful where you play it though. For some it might be less shameful to get caught watching internet porn. Especially with the song that blasting in the background. Oh that's right, I forgot to mention that damn song. During gameplay a song called "Always" by a 90s group called Erasure. Who I've never even heard of. But I'm glad to see they've hit the big time after all these years :).

According to Adult Swim, RUA made over a million hits in a week and I can see why. The animation is detailed and colorful, the sound effects are great, the gameplay is simplistic and fun, and that song will NEVER GO AWAY! So check it out but be warned. It'll suck you in.
